Oil-Free Compressor Installation and Commissioning
Plan the room and system around the selected package before shipment.
Mechanical installation
Confirm operating and shipping weight, foundation load, leveling, lifting points, service clearances and access for heat exchangers, filters and major components. Support piping independently and prevent nozzle load. Route drains to an appropriate collection point and protect against freezing.
Cooling and ventilation
Air-cooled packages need a documented intake and hot-air discharge path without recirculation. Water-cooled packages need defined flow, pressure, inlet temperature, water quality and fouling control. Verify heat rejection against room ventilation or cooling-tower capacity.
Electrical and controls
Verify voltage, phase, frequency, protective devices, earthing, cable size, short-circuit rating, motor/VFD settings and remote signals. Test emergency stop, alarms, permissives, automatic restart policy and sequencing.
Commissioning record
Record inlet conditions, pressure, temperature, FAD or downstream throughput, vibration, noise, dew point, filter differential pressure, drains and control response. For a PSA oxygen plant, include oxygen purity, flow, alarms and backup-supply changeover.
